Description
Deutsch: Heutiges Sozialamtsgebäude (ursprünglich Gesundheitsamt, erbaut 1939–1945), im Vordergrund das 1934 errichtete Kriegerdenkmal für die Gefallenen des Reserve-Infanterie-Regiments Nr. 50 aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg auf dem ehem. Rondell am Machensplatz in Gelsenkirchen. Die hier sichtbare Inschrift auf der Steele lautet: Unseren / gefallenen / Kameraden / R.I.R.50 / II.Batl. / Gelsenkirchen. Rückseite siehe unten. An den Seiten der Steele ist weiter vermerkt, dass das I. Bataillon in Essen, das III. in Recklinghausen beheimatet war.
