English: A picture of the Mandelbrot set for the iteration z->z^-4 + c. Because the set expands to infinity it was generated using the Lyapunov-Exponent of the sequence as a stability criterion rather than using the Boilout-Algorithm. Periodicity checking was used to color the set after the period of the cycles the orbits tend to. |
