Description

Centrum - Groentenmarkt The Great Butcher House is a Gothic covered medieval market. Arch. Gillis De Suttere 1407-19 Later enlargements are made in the middle of the 16th century. The complex is then modified several times, and the current building dates from the restoration carried out in 1912 under the direction of E. Van Hamme.

The Groot Vleeshuis was used as a meat market until 1884. It now houses the center for the promotion of regional products of East Flanders.
