The discovery site is in Schwanbeck, on the western edge of a Germanic settlement of the late imperial Roman and Migration eras. A small grave group with four corpse burials also came to light here. The individuals buried here were probably inhabitants of the settlement. These finds evidence a continuity in Elbe Germanic settlement up to the close of the Migration era.

Corpse grave, Find 500 (inventory to the left)
Grave of an adult woman, oriented north-south.
1. Ribbed bowl with shoulder grooves, ribs on the vessel's body as well as vertical striation between them. Vessels of this type are found predominantly between central Germany and northwestern Hungary.
2. Flat sandstone drop spindle whorl decorated on the flat sides with round indentations in a rosette-like shape.

Corpse grave, Find 959 (inventory right)
Grave of an adult woman, oriented north-south, who was apparently buried in a small wooden chamber covered with three layers of boulders.
1. Silver fire-gilded pincer fibula with chip-carved embellishment.
2. Eight double-conic gilded silver beads.
3. Unique cloisonné disc fibula of gold with almandines on a honeycombed gold foil.

Der Fundplatz liegt in Schwanbeck, am Westrand einer germanischen Siedlung der späten Römischen Kaiser- und Völkerwanderungszeit. Hier kam auch eine kleine Grabgruppe mit vier Körperbestattungen zu Tage. Die hier Bestatteten dürften ursprünglich Bewohner der Siedlung gewesen sein. Die Funde sind ein Beleg für eine elbgermanische Besiedlungskontinuität bis in die ausgehende Völkerwanderungszeit.

Körpergrab, Befund 500 (Inventar links)
Nord-Süd orientiertes Grab einer erwachsenen Frau.
1. Rippenschale mit Riefen auf der Schulter, Rippen auf dem Gefäßkörper sowie dazwischen angebrachten vertikalen Rillen. Gefäße dieser Art sind überwiegend zwischen Mitteldeutschland und dem nordwestlichen Ungarn verbreitet.
2. Flacher Sandsteinwirtel mit einer Zier aus rosettenartig angeordneten runden Eintiefungen auf den Flachseiten.

Körpergrab, Befund 959 (Inventar rechts)
Nord-Süd orientiertes Grab einer erwachsenen Frau, die vermutlich in einer kleinen, mit drei Lagen Rollsteinen bedeckten Holzkammer bestattet wurde.
1. Silberne feuervergoldete Zangenfibel mit Kerbschnittzier.
2. Acht doppelkonische, vergoldete Silberperlen.
3. Einzigartige Cloisonné-Scheibenfibel aus Gold mit Almandinen auf gewaffelter Goldfolie.
