Description
Nederlands: Op de gevelsteen Schutterop staat de Duitse stad Schüttorf afgebeeld met onderschrift OA DE STAD SCHUTEROP 1711. De steen was het kenmerk van een pand dat bij de invoering van de huisnummering werd aangemerkt als Keizersstraat 12. Omstreeks 1900 is het oorspronkelijke pand gesloopt en ging de gevelsteen ‘reizen’. Na vele omzwervingen via Arnhem, Kalmthout in België, Starnberg in Duitsland en uiteindelijk Amsterdam Buitenveldert kwam de gevelsteen in het bezit van de Vereniging Vrienden van Amsterdamse Gevelstenen (VVAG). Samen met de VVAG koos Ymere voor het restaureren en herplaatsen van de gevelsteen in de gevel van de verrezen nieuwbouw aan de Keizersstraat.
