Description
Deutsch: Gewerbehaus am Ansgarikirchhof 24 in Bremen (17. Jh.). Inschriften im Eingang
English: Public meter standard from 17th century, at entrance to Commercial House on Ansgarikirchhof 24 in Bremen. Citizens could bring their meter bars and find out if they were accurate. A bar that just fit between the two projections was exactly one meter.
