Description
English: Child labour in Ghana - a form of modern slavery
Original caption: "
Ghana must do more to end modern slavery! - U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has released the 2016 Trafficking in Persons Report. For the second year in a row, Ghana is classified as a Tier 2 Watch List country, meaning that the government does not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking in persons and failed to provide evidence of increasing efforts to combat forced labor, child labor and sex trafficking of children and adults in the past year. - Without significant progress in combating trafficking in persons, Ghana risks losing U.S. support for programs in agriculture, education, security, governance, health and economic growth.
