Summary edit

Description
English: Glacial erratic are large boulders left behind by melting glaciers. In this case, the glacier was the Laurentide Ice Sheet, a large continental glacier that covered much of North America during the Pleistocene. Historically, glacial erratics were sometimes misidentified as "meteorites" by nonscientists. Locality: near summit of Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park, Mt. Desert Island, southern-coastal Maine, USA
