Summary edit

Description
English: Most of the Svalbard glaciers have a negative mass balance in recent decades. Ablation of glaciers leads to the formation of wells and large cracks, which are partially covered with snow in winter. The picture shows an employee of the FSBI "AARI" performing a visual inspection of a West Gronfjord glacier crack.
