Summary edit

Description
English: Glasgow trams at Crich Glasgow was the last British city to operate trams, or 'caurs' as they were known to the locals. They lasted there until 1962, and, more than any other city, something indefinable but vital went out of the city. The Bradford writer, J. B. Priestley once said, "When a city loses its trams, it loses its soul" and that was certainly true of Glasgow. Each of the above veterans, known as 'Standards', has run more than a million miles in the service of Glasgow citizens.
