  • English: Wilhem von Gloeden (1856-1931), Caino, n. G 0263 (larger size catalogue). Around 1902, from the Uwe-Scheid-Collection. This images echoes the Etude de nu au borde de la mèr by Flandrin, which see here below.

This is one of the most famous pictures by Gloeden. It sold in many copies worldwide, and was advertised in the first homosexual periodicals. This is the same model and settings as in the picture n. 2742 (see below).
