Original description from source
Gloucestershire Vintage & Country Extravaganza - steam gallopers
Position and direction approximate. These gallopers have a long history that is thought to date from 1893. They originally travelled in Yorkshire before coming into the ownership of Maggie Collins who travelled North Wales and Cheshire before retiring in 1920. It then travelled the Midlands with the well known Pat Collins. The original steam engine was removed in 1949. They were used at Seaburn until the late 1970s then stored at Barry Island until acquired by Michael Rule. They now carry the Rule name. They now have a 1914 Tidman steam centre engine and an 84 key organ.
