Summary edit

Description
English: This watering place consists of two basins laid side by side; their dividing wall is visible at the right of the photo. It was rediscovered during the 1950s excavation, having lain forgotten under the surface before that. Before the excavation, these statues had been lined up in front of the cave; when the watering place was discovered, they were restored to their original positions. Tanks like this are known throughout India and southeast asia. They supplied water for drinking, cooking, washing, ritual bathing, etc.
