| Description |
English: Due to a 7 day engineering blockade to repair Cefn Mawr viaduct between Wrexham and Chirk, all trains over the section are suspended. The regular daily Margam-Shotton steel coil working, 6M86 is re-routed via Crewe and Chester. This means it arrives at Wrexham heading south and has to run-round in Croes Newydd loop. Passenger trains operating from Chester are also using Cross Newydd to change from Down to Up running lines.
The 17.44 arrival from Chester awaits a reversal at Croes Newydd, with 6M86 in the loop ready to depart north again. Note the Stop block on the Down Shrewsbury line. |
