Summary edit
DescriptionGolden-sikh-temple 0.jpg |
English: Clifton & Co.
Mumbai Bombay c. 1903 Collotype Undivided back 13.75x9.10cm This postcard is probably among the earliest of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, given the undivided back, and Clifton's role as one of the earliest all-India postcard publishers. It is probably from a 19th century albumen print. This card was sent from Kolkata on January 10th, 1904 to a Miss L.R. Hilliar [sp?] in London, presumably a female collector, given how the sender has discreetly initialed "ARW" at the bottom right. |
