Français : Détail de la carte de la Provence réalisée par Pierre-Jean Bompar dans le cadre d'une représentation des régions de Gaule dans une description réaliste. Le travail a été inséré dans le d'Abraham Ortelius et publié en 1594 dans l'ouvrage Theatrum Orbis Terrarum. La carte mentionne les paroisses de La Garde [La Garde-Freinet], Grimault [Grimaud], S. Maixime [Sainte-Maxime], Cogolin, La Molle [La Môle], Gassin, S. Trompes [Saint-Tropez], Ramatuelle, ainsi que des territoires à l'extérieur du golfe de Saint-Tropez actuel : Roquebrune [Roquebrune-sur-Argens], Gonfaron, Bormes [Bormes-les-Mimosas], ainsi que Brégançon, et La Verne [Chartreuse de la Verne], ainsi qu'une paroisse disparue, Le Revest. D'autres détails géographiques sont portés comme les fleuves, les caps (de Saint-Vincent, de Lhlelbe, de Portes, Talliat [Taillat], Lardier) et des îles (Les Jardinieres, Teste de Can, Formigue).
