Gorilla face аccidentaly shaped from polymer droplets during electrospinning, observed with SEM microscopy (bar: 30 micrometers)

Summary edit

Description
English: During electrospinning of polymer blends comprised of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) template and poly(methyl methacrylate-co-butyl acrylate) (PMMA/BA) nanoparticles, with compositional ratio of 10/90 weight %, the polymer droplets falling on the metal collector accidentally formed a shape resembling the face of a gorilla.

This shape was observed during later SEM characterization of the electrospun sample. The image was taken at The Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering (POLYMAT), San Sebastian, Spain by Macedonian TFM postgraduate research student, conducting her thesis research at the center.

Used magnification is x2500, and the size of the bar is 30 micrometers.
