Description
English: Grave goods from the cemetery of Kölked-Feketekapu B
  • Baranya County, Hungary

The cemetery of Kölked-Feketekapu comprises 695 corpse burials from the late 6th to the 8th century. Additional richly endowed grave groups have come to light at a remove of about 200 meters (Kölked-Feketekapu B). On the basis of the cultural diversity manifest in the costume components (Germanic, Avar, and Byzantine artifacts), the cemeteries of Kölked-Feketekapu are counted among the most interesting early medieval sites of the entire southern European area.
