English: The grave of Sigmund Neuberger, better known as 'the Great Lafayette', who died tragically in the Empire Theatre Fire of 1911. It began when one of Lafayette's tricks involving fire went wrong and claimed the lives of eleven people including himself. The plot is shared by his dog 'Beauty', upon whom he doted. She was a present from the famous American escapologist Harry Houdini. |
