Description
English: Roof-top view of the Great Western Railway Station, Reading, looking westwards, c. 1900. Two trains are visible at the platforms. In the distance, in Greyfriars Road, the premises of Patience, Son and Company, builders, can be seen on one side of the road, with the Tudor Arms pub (later the Malt House), before its front was cement rendered, on the other side. In Station Hill, the sign of Beecroft and Son, printers, is visible. 1900-1909 : photograph by Walton Adams.
