| Description |
English: Ground at Lyking, Holm. The B9052 road connects the A960 (Kirkwall to Deerness) and A961 (Kirkwall to South Ronaldsay) main roads. Crossing over the centre of the island, it rises to a maximum height of some 50 metres above sea level. Because the area is so exposed to winter winds, there are few houses or farmhouses along the road, which is notable mainly for its excellent views over Scapa Flow, with the hills of the island of Hoy in the distance. |
