Group of nine Havasupai girls playing "Hue-ta-queech-e-ka" ca.1898
Photograph of a group of nine Havasupai Indian girls playing "Hue-ta-queech-e-ka" ca.1898. The girls sit on the ground on their haunches in a semi-circle around a circle of rocks. There is a larger rock in the middle of the circle. The girls wear high-necked, long-sleeved dresses, which is non-native attire. They have straight black hair to their shoulders.
