Description A U.S. Navy Grumman E-1B Tracer (BuNo 148132) of airborne early warning squadron VAW-11 Det. F Early Eleven on the starboard catapult of the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64) in 1964/65. VAW-11 Det. F was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 14 (CVW-14) aboard Constellation for a deployment to Vietnam from 5 May 1964 to 1 February 1965. This E-1B was lost on 8 October 1967 over South Vietnam while enroute from Chu Lai air base back to the carrier USS Oriskany (CVA-34). It had crashed into a high ridge 20 km northwest of Da Nang due to bad weather.
