Description
English: A U.S. Navy Grumman KA-6D Intruder (BuNo 151793) of Attack Squadron 165 (VA-165) "Boomers" approaches for recovery on board USS Constellation (CVA-64) in the Indian Ocean on 28 November 1974. The carrier was participating in "Operation Midlink '74", a Central Treaty Organization Naval Exercise. VA-165 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 9 (CVW-9) aboard the Constellation for a deployment to the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean from 21 June to 23 December 1974.
