English: Gullery in the South Walney Nature Reserve The South Walney Nature Reserve has a large gullery with 14,000 pairs of herring gulls and lesser black-backed gulls. The south coast of the reserve is accessible via a mown permissive path marked by posts (left). This area is less frequently visited than the gullery near the reserve car park, and the gulls here are much less habituated to humans and often attack
