| Description |
English: Gwylfa Hiraethog. Hiraethog's Watch Tower looks like something out of a Gothic romance, but in fact it was built in 1913 as a shooting lodge and abandoned before WW2. As there is nothing but empty moorland for a considerable distance it dominates its surroundings and seen under a stormy sky like this it's a sight not easily forgotten. It is actually at the southern edge of the next square north from where this picture was taken, from the A543 near the Sportsman's Arms junction. |
