  • Significance: It is a 2 1/2 story limestone building designed in the Tudor Revival style. The building was started in 1936 and completed in 1939. It is a landmark example of Tudor Revival residential architecture, a style that was popular in the U.S. from the 1890s-1930s. Designed by architects R.W. Shaw and Norris Wheeler, the house has been compared to the Marland Mansion, a National Historic Landmark in Ponca City, OK. R.W. Shaw also did the original site plan for the estate...
