Description

Alesis ADAT HD24 Caddy

Taken by me - shows the screws that should be loosened to solve the mechanical design problem.

another hint from Laserbub

Sometimes an easy solution is to loosen the screws that mount the hard drive into the caddy.I have learned that tightening the four screws that mount the drive will deform the plastic caddy just enough to prevent it from making the connection. Slightly loosen the screws and the caddy fits and connects.
