Deutsch: Robert, jüngster Sohn Omptedas, trat 1907 als Leutnant ins Kaiser Alexander Garde-Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 1 ein. Kurz vor Weihnachten 1914 wurde er zu Oberleutnant befördert. Gleich bei Ausbruch des Krieges rückte er mit seinem Regiment nach Frankreich. Im Oktober wurde er verwundet und erhielt das Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse und war in Israelsdorf zur Genesung. Zurück im Feld ging es als Kompanieführer Ende April in den Osten. Hier fiel er am 1. Mai in der Schlacht bei Gorlice-Tarnów.
Français : Robert, le plus jeune fils d'Ompteda, rejoint le Kaiser Alexander Garde-Grenadier-Regiment No. 1 en 1907 en tant que lieutenant. Peu avant Noël 1914, il est promu Oberleutnant. Dès que la guerre éclate, il s'installe en France avec son régiment. En octobre, il a été blessé et a reçu la Croix de fer de 2e classe et était à Israelsdorf pour récupérer. De retour sur le terrain, il est parti vers l'est en tant que commandant de compagnie à la fin avril. Ici, il est tombé le 1er mai lors de la bataille de Gorlice-Tarnow.
