Summary edit

Description Large fighting ships, such as cruisers and aircraft carriers, are vulnerable to missile attack. Thus, modern navies must include ships that are designed to counter this type of attack. Indeed, HMS Diamond acts as a fleet escort, which can destroy incoming missiles and fighter planes. Its weapons are sophisticated enough to shoot down low flying, supersonic missiles.
