| Description | I had opted for a next day return as I wanted to photograph the falls at night, so after saying goodbye to our driverg guide, I set off on my own to find my hotel. It required some asking around, for no one seemed to know! Having finally got the right lead, I did a punishingly arduous trek up a steel road set at what seemed a good 45° angle to finally get to the high street on which my hotel was located. Much later, looking out of my hotel room, I spotted this 'incline railway' station at the base of the slope. If only I had known earlier! I usually do a lot of internet research before each trip, but I am probably losing my touch now! Oh well! (Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Nov. 2015) |
