| Description |
English: Hadfield station - End of the line from Manchester for passengers since 1970, Hadfield had been single-track from Dinting since March 1981, but the second running line remained in situ. Services were variously in the hands of class 303 and 304 EMUs, the latter featuring here. The station was once of the original halts from the line's 1845 construction, complete with bay window as once seen at Broadbottom. WIth the railway on a hillside climbing into Longdendale, the station was originally at some remove from the town. |
