Unter dem Rasterelektronenmikroskop (REM) erweisen sich die Oberflächen der Haftscheiben von Laubfröschen als ein komplexer Zusammenschluss zahlreicher kleiner Untereinheiten, die vom optischen Eindruck an ein Bienen-wabenartiges Muster erinnern. Bemerkenswert sind die trichterförmigen Einbuchtungen (Pfeilköpfe)
