The Vanguard delivered the Marines to the Naval Station from the amphibious assault ship USS.Bataan (LHD 5). The Vanguard have been transporting disaster relief supplies, personnel and equipment to and from Haiti to support disaster relief efforts following a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti on Jan. 12, 2010.
