English: Photo from the traditional student parade during the celebration of Norway's Constitution Day on May 17th in Stavanger, Norway in the 1930s, perhaps in 1933. A high school student, dressed up as a caricature of a German Jew, with a hooked nose, beard, hat, and coat, carries on his back a large swastika made of wood, as a satirical or humorous commentary on the persecution of Jews by the Nazis in the new Hitler-era Germany; in front of the character in the procession, two young student carries a sign with the text "Finally, the Jews have also been given a cross to bear."
