English: Hall of Memory Birmingham's war memorial in Centenary Square was built in the 1920s from Portland Stone and commemorates over 12,000 of Birmingham's citizens who died in the First World War, the inside features 3 Art Deco panels, "Call", "Front Line" and "Return", by William Boyde in remembrance.
Further memorials were added after the Second World War and for subsequent campaigns, including Korea, Vietnam and the Falklands. |
