Description
English: These images were taken by Thomas T. Hammond during his trip to the Soviet Union. This specific image features a view of Sverdlova Square and Teatralny Proezd in central Moscow. The building on the right is Metropole Hotel, the distant building on the left is Detsky Mir, which was completed in 1957.
Русский: Москва, площадь Свердлова (Театральная), вид по Театральному проезду к Лубянке. Справа гостиница "Метрополь", слева вдали недавно открытый "Детский мир". Много военных на улице (что вообще типично для фото центра в те годы).
