English: These images were taken by Thomas T. Hammond during his trip to the Soviet Union. This specific image features a view of Sverdlova Square and Teatralny Proezd in central Moscow. The building on the right is Metropole Hotel, the distant building on the left is Detsky Mir, which was completed in 1957.
