Description
English: Detail of "handschrift Brussel", first documented publication of the Dutch national anthem. It is a collection of the work of Philips of Marnix, Lord of Saint-Aldegonde. This detail shows the 11th verse with the name of Maastricht highlighted, the only Dutch town to be mentioned in the anthem.
Nederlands: Handschrift Brussel, oudste nog bestaande publicatie van het Wilhelmus. Zoals gezien in aflevering 1 van NTR serie De Gouden Eeuw. Hier het 11e couplet waarin de naam van Maastricht voorkomt, de enige Nederlandse stad die genoemd wordt.
