Deutsch: Gemalt während eines Aufenthaltes in Säckingen. Dargestellt ist eine mittelalterliche Stadtidylle: Laufenburg im Kanton Aargau, an den Stromschnellen des Rheins, rechts der Bergfried der Schloßruine. Das Gemälde wurde zusammen mit drei anderen Stadbildern in Auftrag gegeben und gehört zu den wenigen Stadtansichten von Thomas Hand.[1]
