Deutsch: Das Happy RIZZI House ist ein modernes Gebäude in Braunschweig, das 2001 fertiggestellt wurde.

Die Fassade ist komplett in Pop Art gestaltet mit lachenden Gesichtern, Herzen, Sternen etc. und ist dadurch optisch sehr einprägsam.

Der amerikanische Künstler James Rizzi entwarf das Gebäude anlässlich der Expo 2000 in Hannover.

Das Happy RIZZI House befindet sich in der Nachbarschaft des Braunschweiger Schlosses, das 1960 nach Kriegsschäden abgerissen und 2007 als Einkaufszentrum wieder aufgebaut wurde.

Es steht im Magniviertel, einer sog. “Traditionsinsel” in Braunschweig, der vor dem zweiten Weltkrieg größten Fachwerkstadt Deutschlands. Im Magniviertel sind viele alte Fachwerkhäuser noch gut erhalten, teilweise aus dem 15. Jahrhundert.

In vielen Häusern des Viertels befinden sich urige Kneipen.

The façade is entirely designed in pop art with smiling faces, hearts, stars, etc. which is optically very memorable.

The American artist James Rizzi designed the building on the occasion of the Expo 2000 in Hanover, Germany.

Happy RIZZI House is located in the neighbourhood of the castle, which was torn down in1960 and rebuilt as a shopping center in 2007 because of war damages.

It is located in the Magniviertel, a so-called "island of tradition" in Braunschweig, Germany's largest timber city before the second world war. In that area many old half-timbered houses are still well preserved, partly from the 15th century.

There are traditional pubs in many houses of the district.
