Description
English: Hank Gowdy high school yearbook photo, 1914.Harry "Hank" Gowdy (8/24/1889-8/1/1966) was a North High School baseball star who played for the Boston Braves in the 1914 World Series. He married Pauline Welsh in 1920. Also known as "Hank" or "Red" Gowdy. Hank Gowdy baseball field at 711 W. 3rd Avenue, west of Olentangy River Road, was named for him. The Park was demolished in 1964.
