DescriptionHarvest at Woolston - geograph.org.uk - 538904.jpg |
English: Harvest at Woolston. There are a number of cottages in this area built after the First World War. They were to provide some 2-3 acre plots for returning heroes. Many have passed down through families and they make pleasant retirement homes. Others are within ready commute of Edinburgh. The parcels of land are really too small to support a family now and most are rented to local farmers. |
