Description

A pair of classic Hawker biplanes, representing naval and land-based British fighters of the mid 1930’s. Nearest is Hawker Nimrod II ‘K3661’ (G-BURZ) c/n 41H-59890. Built in 1934, she wears the genuine markings of 802sqn, Fleet Air Arm. Behind is 1935 built Hawker Fury I ‘K5674’ (G-CBZP) c/n 41H-67550, wearing the markings of 43sqn, Royal Air Force. Both are owned and operated by the Historic Aircraft Collection and are seen in their usual resting place in Hangar 3 at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford Airfield, Cambridgeshire, UK.
