Summary edit

Description Eudora Welty took a picture of this monument in the late '30s. At that time the woman was holding a book and her hair was in a bun. Pieces of what were perhaps the book and the head are on the ground nearby. There is no indication anywhere of whose grave this is. Greenwood Cemetery, Jackson, Mississippi.
