English: Heatherhope Reservoir The reservoir shown on the map is about twice the length as it is now in real life. The present water level has been lowered by as much as 10m at the dam wall, apparently by opening a breach in the dam, after its use for Kelso's water supply came to an end. There are apparently still people in Kelso who miss the quality of the water from this Cheviot Hill source. |
