Description
Nederlands: Ferme Thiry of Ferme de Pontisse in Herstal heeft een oorsprong in de 11de eeuw. Het werd vernietigd bij het begin van wereldoorlog 1 omdat ze te dicht bij het Fort van Pontisse lag. Ze werd terug opgebouwd in 1923. In 1940 moest de boerderij weer geëvacueerd worden maar werd niet vernietigd.
Français : Ferme Thiry ou Ferme de Pontisse était une propriété de l'Abbaye de Vivegnis au XVème siècle. Elle fut reconstruite une première fois en 1661 dont témoigne une pierre commémorative. Trop près du fort de Pontisse, l'armée belge rase en 1914 la ferme de Pontisse, Elle fut réédifiée en 1923. La ferme subissait une seconde fois des déprédations en 1940-1944 mais ne fut pas détruite.
