Grosses Stadtsiegel mit Stadtvedute und Herzog Rudolf IV. von Habsburg. 1361. Durchmesser 6 cm.
Auf rankenverziertem Bildfeld hebt sich die phantastische Stadtvedute von Rapperswil mit gezinnter Brücke und Brückentor ab. Auf der linken Seite steht Herzog Rudolph IV. von Habsburg (1358-1365), der Erbauer der Rapperswiler Seebrücke, angetan mit Zepter und Schwert, in einem gezinnten Turm. Neben ihm schräg rechts (heraldisch) gestellter Bindeschild mit Topfhelm und Pfauenstutz und dahinter, die obere Hälfte des Siegels einnehmend, das Dreirosenbanner der Grafen von Rapperswil.
Bekrönende Bandrolle mit Inschrift:

«nAT+DE+hABSPG». Umschrift zwischen granulierten Säumen in gotischer Majuskel: «+s+CIVITAS+IN RAPRESWIL+QUAM+ REFORMAVIT+RUDOLFFUS+DUX+AUSTRIE»
Das Grosse Stadtsiegel war seit 1361 in Gebrauch. Die in Bronce gegossene Petschaft wurde in den Feinheiten nachgraviert und vergoldet.
Das grosse Stadtsiegel darf als eines der schönsten Städtesiegel der Schweiz bezeichnet werden und dürfte von Herzog Rudolf in Wien persönlich in Auftrag gegeben worden sein.
