English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
People try to obtain a release from the Rijksverkeersinspectie for the Sunday driving ban that the government has imposed because of the difficult oil situation, which is caused by the Suez Crisis. The personnel of the Rijksverkeersinspectie handles all the applications. On Sunday only foreign cars and taxis drive in the streets and the police checks cars for releases. Petrol stations and bars along the road stay empty and the youth rollerskates in the streets.
Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.
Mensen proberen bij de Rijksverkeersinspectie een ontheffing te krijgen voor het zondagsrijverbod dat de regering heeft ingesteld i.v.m. de moeilijke oliesituatie, die veroorzaakt wordt door de Suezcrisis. Vervolgens verwerkt het personeel van de Rijksverkeersinspectie alle aanvragen. Op zondag rijden er alleen buitenlandse auto's en taxi's op straat en de politie controleert auto's op ontheffingen. Benzinepompen en cafe's langs de weg blijven leeg en de jeugd rolschaatst op straat. |
