Description Anatomy of a flower: A stigma is the female receptive part of a flower. It is supported by the style. When styles are fused, the collective along with the ovaries, are referred to as a pistil. The anthers are the male capsules which contain pollen. They are supported on filaments. Together, the anther and filament are referred to as a stamen.
