English: High Scar and Low Scar, Robin Hood's Bay Some of the wave-cut platforms in Robin Hood's Bay are clearly seen in this picture, taken about an hour after low tide. The main section is known as High Scar, and is exposed at all low tides. The section to the right, Low Scar, remains inaccessible except at very low tides. Most of the bay can be seen, extending over three squares, and the circular wave-cutting action is visible, following the shape of the bay. |
